Who i am

My health journey began in 8th grade when I started getting daily migraines. Doctors were perplexed, and nothing seemed to relieve me from the pain. I missed out on a lot, couldn’t even play sports by my senior year, and also learned to push through the pain. Most days, I was walking around with a headache.

I went off to college and the migraines got worse. When I graduated from college and started modeling in NYC, my pain brought me to rock bottom. I decided to go off of all medications (they didn't seem to work anyway) and try a more holistic route. A chiropractor altered the trajectory of my life. He did an MRI of my neck and saw that herniated discs and arthritis were likely the root of the head pain.

He worked with me on my neck, but more than that, he also taught me that what I’m eating plays a huge role in the causes of pain, too. Experiencing the connection between migraines and nutrition sent me into deep learning – I attended Integrative Nutrition in 2006-2007 and was part of one of their first graduating classes.

In 2013, I moved to Minnesota from NYC with my husband and three kids. I’m not going to sugar-coat this part of my story. It was agonizing. I started to feel very different, in my body, the second we moved into our home. I was spacy, tired, irritable. My friends and sisters said it’s probably depression and that made sense so I was medicated. Once again though, the medication didn’t help. Things seemed so off. I felt highly inflamed. Like puffy everywhere. I had started a company, The Locket Sisters, with my sister, and in 2020 I felt like my body was going to break. I told my sister to run with this little company we had started and I needed to go back to health coaching. It was my passion and I also wanted to focus some energy on getting better.

The beauty of darkness is that it can be so uncomfortable that we – if we’re lucky – work so hard until we find the light again. Those dark years of physical and emotional pain invited me to continue learning, connecting dots, investigating and exploring various healing modalities.

I discovered I was highly reactive to gluten after I took the Wheat Zoomer, a functional blood test that shows if you create antibodies to any of the proteins in wheat and gluten. I dropped some inflammation after this discovery (15 pounds) and cut out gluten. I thought I was maybe where I was supposed to be. I was going to an infrared sauna frequently, eating healthy, but still felt not totally optimal - energy wise.

I was starting to study more specifically hormones and women’s health and I reached out to a colleague about different hormone labs and she told me she hardly ever runs any hormone labs anymore because all of her clients’ hormones get regulated after they go on this amazing nutrition plan. I was intrigued..

After learning more about Metabolic Balance, out of Germany, I was sold. It was EVERYTHING my clients were searching for and it honestly was what I needed, personally. I went through it myself (got a personalized nutrition plan and coaching) and lost 17 pounds in five weeks. I felt like a different person! I had energy, my skin was glowing, my hair was shinier, and I was relieved that my body was “working” again. I could feel it sort of snap back. It felt like I had a system reboot. The best part was, it took all the guesswork and trial and error out of figuring out what foods are most health-supportive. Through the blood test and health history, the individualized plans are created by a team of doctors in Germany.

I have been blown away at my clients’ results. Not only are they losing unwanted weight that is keeping them very inflamed, they are lowering their cholesterol, lowering blood pressure, improving headaches, improving libido, balancing hormones, lowering blood sugar, and their skin and energy are amazing. And balancing blood sugar is one of the most foundational things people can do to improve their health and longevity. It is intricately linked to everything that makes our beautiful bodies work FOR us.

Thank you for being here.
